Refugee Code Week - Ahmed’s Story
Short form documentary commissioned by SAP and UNHCR, filmed and directed in Zaateri Refugee Camp in Jordan on the Syrian border. It tells the story of Ahmed, a young programmer whose life was transformed by Refugee Code Week.
"Impossible Builds" TV Documentary
I spent a year filming and directing sequences for this episode of the “Impossible Builds” series, broadcast on the Discovery Channel. We filmed in locations across the UAE but mostly on the World Islands in Dubai, including timelapses and underwater shoots.
Dubai Airports - Dining in Concourse A
One of a series of presenter-driven videos we produced for Dubai Airports youtube channel. This one introduces the range of dining options in the new Concourse A at Dubai International Airport. My role was producer/director.
Standard Chartered Guinness World Record Attempt
Short form interview driven documentary showcasing a Guinness World Record attempt by Standard Chartered Bank to create the largest flag out of footballs. The video includes a time lapse sequence. My role was producer/director.
Khalaf Al Habtoor Documentary
Intimate fly on the wall style documentary about Khalaf Al Habtoor, the founder of UAE based Al Habtoor Group, commissioned to commemorate the Group's 40th anniversary. We filmed in Khalaf’s home and workplace and around Dubai. My role was producer/director/writer.
World Diabetes Congress
Short docu-drama commissioned to open the World Diabetes Congress in Dubai. The brief was to cast real patients and not actors. We selected a 13 year old local diabetic girl as presenter and voice over artist and filmed across the UAE. My role was producer/director.
Port of Salalah Documentary
Documentary produced for the Government of Oman to show how the Port of Salalah benefits the local community and supports Oman’s economy. We filmed in Salalah over the course of a week. My role was producer/director/writer.
Emirates Identity Authority App
Short form documentary commissioned by Emirates Identity Authority to showcase their m-government initiatives to the Ruler, Sheikh Mohammed, with versions produced in Arabic and English.
Tulamben Bali Dive Site Video
Underwater branded content video for Villa Alba Dive Centre and Resort. Produced in a documentary style with narration, the film showcases the amazing dive sites and marine life that the Tulamben area of Bali has to offer.
Refugee Code Week - Overview
Short form documentary filmed and directed in Zaateri Refugee Camp in Jordan on the Syrian border. Produced for SAP and UNHCR it shows how the Refugee Code Week initiative is empowering refugees through technology.
Education and Development in the Comoros
Documentary commissioned by 3 NGOs based in France and the Comoros to help raise awareness of their development programme. It was produced in French and broadcast on Comoran and French television. My camera assistant was my client!
